My grandma had her 85th birthday on February 8th, and her love / boyfriend / partner will have his 80th birthday on February 29th (that's right 
). They're gonna have a party in between, this Saturday, and this is my present for them: A portrait of the two of them. 
It was quite hard, because I never drew, well, old people before, and it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted. But the photo I used for reference wasn't the best, either, and I'm still quite content with the result. Of course, I used my new pencils for this, though I still have to get used to them. It took me approximately 4 hours to finish this (about 2 hours yesterday & 2 hours today).
In case you're asking: My grandma's husband (i.e. my grandpa) died in 1983 (i.e. I never knew him), and she has been alone for quite a few years. But she and her new love have been a happy couple for more than 15 years now. I think that's what keeps them so healthy now.
Now I need to get a nice frame for it. I really hope they'll like this.
EDIT (February 23rd, 2008): I just returned from their birthday party - and yes, they really liked it! At first, they couldn't believe that I drew this. But then, they were even more impressed.
EDIT2: Sadly, my grandma's significant other passed away on August 28th, 2017.
EDIT3: And now, on May 30th, 2021, my grandma has passed away as well:
